Kansas City Bomber K.C. Carr is a single woman raising two children who needs a way to support them. When she starts dating Burt Henry, owner of the Kansas City Bombers roller derby team, she convinces him to make her one of the skaters. She soon discovers that the job is much harder than she realized and is made worse by the team’s star Jackie who thinks K.C is trying to take her place. Her life is made a little easier by another team member, Horrible Hank Hopkins, who becomes her friend and teaches her what she needs to know.
